My second track is out
Fragile is now up on YouTube.
This music video was in fact the first one I completed in MV Train Creator, the editor I built myself.
Being the first, though, some things started bothering me right before release. So I swapped in a different piece as my debut at short notice and put this one out second.
Watching it back now, it reads exactly like a first attempt. I think everything looks like this at the start. You cannot polish without repetition, and you cannot see what to fix. For now, this is fine.
A song written in 2008
This track has a long history behind it. Checking the file, it was made in March 2008.
I was producing video work in my twenties and wrote this as its theme song. That video was on YouTube at the time, but I took it down when the group disbanded.
The story in the music video
As the title Fragile suggests, the song is about fragility — the sense of being easily broken.
The time after losing someone you loved is as delicate as glass, and putting a world back together once it has broken is not simple. From that moment on, everything outside you looks like it is enjoying itself, and you feel left behind alone. And yet, at that same hour, somewhere in the world, someone else is losing a love in the same way. That is what I wrote about.
As I said, the song came out of a video work. That work was set in a "country of mirrors," so I brought the two-sided idea of the mirror — a thing that reflects the self — into the music video as well. The story contrasts people carrying a loss with people inside their own happiness.

I will keep making them carefully, one song at a time. Production is slow, but I would be glad of your support.
